Info for new Admins

Admin communication in-game
The Old Skool DOD server uses Adminmod.
You should have the following binds in your userconfig.cfg file in order to communicate effectively and efficiently.

Submit Cheat Demos
When you suspect someone of cheating, please get a demo. We do not ban unless there is a clear demo for careful review by our Demo Review Team.

Admins should upload demos of suspected cheaters with FTP to our webserver using the following login info. This demos file is not intended for public access, only admins should use it:

Players can upload demos as well. We try to inform community players of their opportunity to upload demos of suspected cheaters. As well, any demos that our Demo Review Team base bans on are put into a seperate file for public access at this location:

Personal webspace and email address at mammajamma.org

www.yourname.mammajamma.org
If you would like a personal subdomain with the same name as your email, you can request that also and we'll set it up for you. You will be provided with enough webspace to set up a personal website, and hosting of graphics, and virtually unlimited bandwidth. Normally 10MB in size, but there is the potential for a larger space if you have a specific purpose in needing more. You would access this subdomain space though FTP with your own personal password.

Our admins can be set up with a personal email address @mammajamma.org. You can configure your regular emial client (Outlook Express, etc.) for sending and recieving with that address. For instructions on how to configure your email client, check here.

Partcipate in Mamma Jamma Forum
Admins with Mamma Jamma's server are expected to particpate in our Forum. There are a couple reasons for this expectation.

Mamma Jamma's is a community and therefore we like our admins to take part in it.
There is a private section for admins at the Forum. It is for discussing server policy, admin practice, and problem players. Only by frequenting the forum can you stay abreast of changes in policy, new rules, etc. and contribute your own suggestions for how we should run things.
Players sometimes make complaints or give feedback about the behaviour of admins. If there is a complaint regarding yourself, you need to be there to explain yourself.

Provide Players with links to Mamma Jamma info
When you're playing we like our admins to inform players of links to Mamma Jamma's sites.

In particular, we want you to direct players to our Forum. Every so often, type a tsay message letting players know the address of our website.

As well, we want admins to let players know that there are stats pages for our servers. It is easiest to simply direct them to this page: Server Stats

Here are some binds you might want to add to your userconfig.cfg file to make for easy use. Just copy entire quoted section and add to your userconfig.cfg file in your day of defeat/dod folder. Make sure you include the backslashes (//) prior to the info lines at beginning and end of each bind segment.
